Atividades Espirituais
Requirements
- Have the Bible I Honor.
Answer: It is a prerequisite — you need to have earned the Bible I Award before starting this one. If you do not have it yet, talk to your leader to do Bible I first. — Bible II continues the learning from Bible I, which is why it comes first.
- Memorize and explain four of the following verses about living for Jesus:
- Exodus 20:11-17;
- Philippians 4:13;
- Philippians 2:13;
- 1 John 2:1 and 2;
- Jude 24;
- Revelation 22:14;
- Another verse, of your choice.
Answer: Choose four and explain them in your own words. 1) Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me" — with Jesus's help I can do what is right. 2) Philippians 2:13: it is God who puts in us the desire and the strength to do good. 3) 1 John 2:1 and 2: if we sin, Jesus is our advocate who asks the Father to forgive us. 4) Jude 24: Jesus is able to keep us from falling and to present us joyfully before God. (Exodus 20:11-17 are some of the Ten Commandments, and Revelation 22:14 speaks of the blessing of those who obey God.) — These verses teach us to depend on Jesus, obey God, and trust in His forgiveness.

A possible list: the Creation of the world (ch. 1 and 2), Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, the serpent and sin (ch. 3), Cain and Abel (ch. 4), the long lives of the first men (ch. 5), the wickedness on the earth and the choosing of Noah (ch. 6), the Flood and the ark (ch. 7 and 8), and God's covenant with the rainbow (ch. 9). 3) Show your list to your leader. — The first nine chapters of Genesis tell the beginning of the world, from the Creation until after the Flood.
- Tell or act out the following Bible stories:
- Noah;
- Abraham;
- Moses;
- Daniel;
- David;
- Another, of your choice.
Answer: How to do it (with an adult): 1) Read each story in the Bible to get to know it well — Noah built the ark and saved the animals from the Flood; Abraham obeyed God and became the father of a great people; Moses led the people out of Egypt and received the Ten Commandments; Daniel was protected in the lions' den; David defeated the giant Goliath and became king. 2) Choose one more story that you like. 3) Tell each one in your own words, or act them out in a little play or drawing for your friends. You can use costumes or puppets to make it more fun. — Retelling or acting out the stories helps you learn and teach what the Bible tells.
