Requirements

  1. Tell a friend about Jesus and how good He is to you, then present, in writing, the friend's name, what you said, and what their reaction was.

Answer: Steps with an adult: 1) Choose a friend you trust. 2) Tell them something good that Jesus has done for you (for example, that He loves you, helps you, and gives you peace). 3) Afterward, write on a sheet of paper: your friend's name, what you said, and how they reacted (if they liked it, asked questions, or were happy). 4) Show what you wrote to your counselor. — Telling a friend about Jesus is sharing the love we have received from Him.

  2. Invite a friend to come with you to attend your Sabbath School at church.

Answer: Steps with an adult: 1) Choose a friend to invite. 2) Kindly tell them that on Sabbath you go to Sabbath School and that it would be nice if they came along. 3) Arrange the time and place with the help of your parents. 4) On the day, welcome your friend warmly and stay close to them. — Inviting a friend to church is a way to show them Jesus.

  3. Together with an adult, prepare a short message or a written prayer to present in your Sabbath School class, Club meeting, or at school.

Answer: Steps with an adult: 1) Choose a simple theme (the love of Jesus, gratitude, caring for friends). 2) With the adult's help, write a few sentences or a short prayer. 3) Practice reading it out loud a few times. 4) Present it calmly in your class, at the Club, or at school. — Preparing a message or prayer helps you tell other people about God.

  4. Visit a disabled or elderly person in your community to cheer them up. Bring a card or drawing made by you.

Answer: Steps with an adult: 1) With your parents, choose an elderly or sick person who needs some love. 2) Make a card or a nice drawing for them. 3) Arrange the visit with an adult. 4) During the visit, give the gift, smile, talk, and pray for them if they allow it. — Visiting someone who is alone or sick brings joy to the heart and shows the love of Jesus.

  5. Say why animals should be treated well.

Answer: We should treat animals well because it was God who created them, and He cares for them. Animals feel hunger, thirst, and pain, so we need to give them food, water, shelter, and love, without hurting them. Taking good care of them is obeying God and showing kindness. — God created the animals and gave us the task of caring for His creation with love.

  6. Attend a baptism and explain what it means.

Answer: Baptism is when a person goes into the water and shows everyone that they have chosen to follow Jesus. It means that the person wants to leave wrong things behind and begin a new life with Jesus, like a fresh start. Jesus was also baptized to give us the example. — Baptism shows publicly that the person has decided to follow Jesus and begin a new life.

  7. Explain what it means to be a friend of Jesus and name five friends of Jesus mentioned in the Bible.

Answer: Being a friend of Jesus means loving Him, talking to Him in prayer, obeying what He teaches, and treating people with love, just as He did. Five friends of Jesus in the Bible are: 1) Peter, 2) John, 3) Lazarus, 4) Martha, and 5) Mary (Lazarus's sisters). — Being a friend of Jesus is loving and following Him; many people in the Bible were His close friends.

  8. Know (and say) the prayers for meals and before sleeping.

Answer: Praying is talking to God. Before eating, we thank God for the food, for example: 'Dear Jesus, thank you for this food. Bless the one who prepared it. Amen.' Before sleeping, we give thanks for the day and ask for protection, for example: 'Dear Jesus, thank you for this day. Take care of me and my family tonight. Amen.' — Praying at meals and before bed is a way to give thanks and talk to God every day.

  9. Be kind and good to your family and friends.

Answer: Steps for everyday life: 1) Speak kindly, say 'please' and 'thank you.' 2) Help at home without complaining (tidying up your toys, setting the table). 3) Share and lend your toys to your friends. 4) Forgive when someone makes a mistake, and apologize when you make a mistake. Do this every day. — Being kind and gentle is treating others the way Jesus treats us, with love and respect.

  10. Take part in a community cleanup project.

Answer: Steps with an adult: 1) With the Club or your family, choose a place to clean up (a square, the front of the church, or the street). 2) Use gloves and trash bags. 3) Pick up the trash and separate what can be recycled. 4) Put everything in the right place and wash your hands at the end. — Helping to keep the city clean is caring for God's creation and for the place where we live.

  11. Take part in 3 missionary activities (including Harvest Ingathering).

Answer: Steps with an adult and the Club: 1) Take part in 3 activities that help others and tell about Jesus. 2) One of them should be the Ingathering (going out as a group asking for donations to help those in need). 3) Other ideas: handing out food or clothes, distributing leaflets, visiting the sick, or singing for the elderly. 4) Always go accompanied by an adult. — Missionary activities, like the Ingathering, help people and bring the love of Jesus to the community.
